04A. Nov Intermed In-Person Watercolor

Join me at the Sacramento Fine Arts Center on Thursday afternoons for skill building, techniques and fun. Instruction will include demonstration, work time and Q&A/critique. 

 
In the first week's class, we will begin the painting as I introduce new techniques. Each class highlights watercolor skills such as creating texture, mixing and blending. We will discuss materials, paints and paper. The remaining classes will be spent working on the painting and the skills taught in the first week will be reviewed and practiced as the painting is completed. We work on one painting per month. In the event we finish early, we'll learn techniques or start a small painting as an exercise. I'm sorry, but I cannot offer refunds for missed classes.

SUPPLIES:

8x10 (approx) reference image and sketch will be provided upon registration. You can always paint larger if you are comfortable drawing the sketch larger than the 8x10 that is provided. 

Watercolor Paints -- These are all of the colors I use in my palette. Bring what you have, we will make it work.

Masking Fluid

Watercolor Brushes -- #20, 12, 8 and 4 rounds, 1.5" flat, and a smaller detail brush

Paper -- 140 pound cold pressed watercolor paper. I will paint approximately 11x14"
